When I was eight years old, I swore I would never become a writer, because writing takes too long and I don't have the patience for it. Fate seems to have a sense of humor, because here I am not only writing, but editorializing on a magazine. This is because I am vain and pretentious, and I must subject my peers to the horrible scrawls of my hand. But Truthfully, its because i love sharing and telling stories.

The most important part of writing is community. We celebrate each others works. don't listen to the bullies, there is no competition here. everyone has something unique and important to say, and it is my privilege to help you say it. fostering community between writers is the key to growth. my goal is to create a space in which writers can feel free and safe to express their truths through their work.

the fantasy genre is like a chameleon. we don't realize there are any rules until someone breaks them. you can be as daring as you please. as writers of fantasy, we have a special power. we can become the chameleon.
